Scott’s Industrial Coatings and Perfection Industrial Finishing now operate under one brand: UltiCoat. Products Finishing reports that Madison Lake Capital introduced the name across three plants, in Green Bay, Phoenix and Tucson. The case for it is made from the customer’s side: one vendor relationship and one qualification process instead of two.
What the article says
Products Finishing reported on September 29 that Madison Lake Capital has introduced UltiCoat, a single brand uniting the operations of Scott’s Industrial Coatings and Perfection Industrial Finishing. UltiCoat operates 64,000 square feet in Green Bay, Wisconsin, 32,000 square feet in Phoenix and 15,000 square feet in Tucson, Arizona. Combined capabilities include powder coating, liquid paint, chemical processing (anodizing and conversion coatings), media blasting and Cerakote application. The company lists itself as an approved supplier to defense primes including BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Honeywell Aerospace. CEO Joaquin “JQ” Salas: “Bringing these two companies together under UltiCoat gives our customers something neither of us could offer alone.”
Why it matters at the top of the house
The argument for the single name is the buyer’s workload. Salas notes that a manufacturer needing both powder coating and anodizing previously managed two separate vendor relationships and qualification processes. Under UltiCoat it manages one. The brief is a company announcement: it gives no revenue and no cost for the rebrand, and it does not say whether the two former names are retired.
