Legrand used third-party industry media to tell the story of its Cablofil expansion through its people, processes and plants. tED Magazine names it one of four 2026 Best of the Best winners for corporate public relations.
What the article says
tED Magazine published its 2026 Best of the Best winners for corporate public relations on October 14. Legrand’s “Cablofil Expansion Story: Investing in People, Processes, and Plants” told the expansion through a people-focused narrative about workforce and process improvements, supported by third-party industry media; it produced earned media and a foundation for ongoing sales, distributor and brand communications. The judges call it “a focused, credible narrative that turns a manufacturing expansion into a brand-building win.” NorthEast Electrical filmed interviews with its warehouse associates for its internal newsletter, social media and break room TV, and reported higher social media engagement. OneSource Distributors ran a tool showcase at the Electrical Training Institute in Los Angeles, and Dialight’s campaign for its facility in Penang, Malaysia, drew more than 6,400 media pickups.
Why it matters at the top of the house
A plant expansion is usually announced once and forgotten. Legrand told it as a story about the people and the process behind the product, and the same story then served the sales team and the distributors. Two of the four winners built their PR on their own employees.
One move to copy
Legrand built one narrative around workforce and process improvements, placed it with third-party industry media, and reused it in sales and distributor communications. A smaller manufacturer can do the same with one well-told expansion or hiring story.
